Winters are here and all we want to do is enjoy the cold chilly nights with our friends and relatives with some bonfire and lip smacking food. So here we have compiled some super delicious recipes that will make your bonfire night the most memorable one:

1) Toffee apples

Ingredients:

· Sugar- 500 g

· Water- 300 ml

· Apples- 6

Directions:

· In a pan, gently heat sugar and water until sugar dissolves

· Once the sugar has dissolved completely turn up the heat and let the mixture boil until it turns a caramel colour

· Take off the heat and immediately dip the pan in cold water to stop the caramel from further cooking

· Spear the apples with a fork

· Quickly dip each apple into the caramel to coat and place the apples on the parchment paper

· Serve

2) Hot chocolate

Ingredients:

· Dark chocolate- 100 g

· Skimmed milk- 750 ml

· Vanilla extract- 1 tsp

· Honey- 40 g

Directions:

· In a pan, add finely chopped dark chocolate and milk and slowly heat the mixture

· Whisk the mixture frequently and let the liquid come to boil

· Remove from heat and add caster sugar, vanilla extract and honey to taste

· Pour it in the mugs and you may add some mini marshmallows, grated dark chocolate or cocoa powder over it

· Serve hot

3) Toasties

Ingredients:

· White bread- 4 slices

· Unsalted butter- 50 g

· Digestive biscuits crushed- 30 g

· Marshmallows- 8

· Dark chocolate roughly chopped- 50 g

Directions:

· Brush butter on each side of the bread

· Toast the bread slices

· Now stir the crushed biscuits into the melted butter and divide between two slices of bread

· Divide the marshmallow on top

· Top each slice of bread and toast or grill for 3-5 minutes

· Serve hot

4) Oreo s’mores

Ingredients:

· Oreos- 6

· Dark chocolate- 50 g

· Marshmallows- 8

Directions:

· In a food processor, process oreos till you get fine powder

· Melt the dark chocolate in microwave

· Now dip the marshmallows into the melted chocolate and then into the oreo crumbs

· Put these on a baking tray lined with butter paper and grill until the tops are golden

· Serve with hot chocolate

5) Baked potato

Ingredients:

· Potato- 1

· Olive oil-1 tsp

· Salt- ½ tsp

· Butter – 2 tsp

· Black pepper -1 pinch

· Cheddar cheese- ¼ cup

Directions:

· Preheat oven to 150 degC

· Scrub the potato and pierce the skin of the potato several times with a fork

· Now rub the skin with olive oil and then with salt

· After this place the potato in the preheated oven

· Bake the potato for 90 minutes or until slightly soft and golden brown

· Now slice the potato down the centre and serve with butter and black pepper

· You may sprinkle some shredded cheese over the top if desired

· Serve hot
