- Button Mushrooms – 300 gramsDry red chillies – 6 or 7 wholeGarlic – 10 clovesTomato ketchup – 1 tablespoonSugar – 1 teaspoonRock salt or sea salt – to tasteJuice of 1 lemonCoriander leaves – 1 small bunch, finely choppedCooking oil – 1 tablespoon
- First, in a grinder put the red chillies, garlic cloves, salt sugar and the lemon juice and make a thick paste. You can add a little water to get a smooth paste. This is the chili-garlic sauce and we are going to use in this preparation.In a wok heat the oil and add the prepared chili-garlic paste and cook until it has thoroughly cooked and the oil separates on the sides of the pan.Now, add the mushrooms that have been thoroughly washed and cut into thick slices.Sauté for some time and cover with a lid. If you want you can add a splash of water, which is optional as the mushrooms leave a lot of water.Take off the lid after 5 minutes and add the tomato ketchup.Cook until all the water has evaporated and the mushrooms are nicely done in the sauce.Add the coriander leaves.
